Amber

The sun dims down an amber sky

Reminding me of the flames

Once burning, smoldering away

The golden ambers take flight

Blowing away into ash

Unto cotton sheets they clung

To be swept away by hands and rain

I bid these amber flames adieu

And remember the red flames

Warm, comfortable and kind to the cold
